Everyone believes that their actions will not have an impact on the future. Others do not care about what effect their actions will have. Schindler did not care about what difference he would make with the quality of life for the Jews at the beginning of his operation. As the film went on he began to care about what would happen to the Jews. If Schindler didn't have the idea to run a business during this time he wouldn't have saved so many Jews. If he didn't go back for Itzhak, his company would have fallen apart and the 1200 Jews he saved would have died in the camps. If Schindler didn't take in the unskilled workers they would have been placed in a camp. So many of the little decisions Schindler made lead to him saving 1200 Jews, even if he didn't realize it at the time.
